Cycling in Colombia We had a wonderful time cycling in Colombia with our guides Daniel and Diego. They were hands on, prioritising safety, and a lot of fun to hang around with. Everything was planned for us, every logistical detail taking care of seamlessly, top notch mechanical support, with nice little attentions throughout our trip. We were able to concentrate solely on cycling the beautiful mountains south of Medellin. Tomas and Marcella, from their base in Retiro, provided invaluable support and documentation throughout our trip. Great communication. One of my best cycling trips ever. We’ll be back. Thanks to the whole team at Colombia Cycling for the great memories.

Letras tour Colombia Cycling is absolutely amazing. They go out of their way to help you and make the experience unforgettable. Everyone we encountered was passionate, fun, and full of energy. The trip was extremely well organized, and they truly do an outstanding job. Our guide, Juan, was a super domestique , just fantastic—passionate, fun, and clearly someone who genuinely loves what he does. He made the experience even better. Our driver, Arquimedes was great, always with a smile and there for help and support when needed. Our airport pick up driver- Daniel- so helpful and passionate. Tomas and Marcela are incredible at what they do. They are welcoming, kind, and genuinely helpful, and they take great care of you throughout the entire experience. The accommodations are top-class—unique, comfortable, and thoughtfully chosen. They pay close attention to every detail, which really sets them apart. Highly recommended. Cheers, until we come back for El Sifón Manuel and Alesha

Colombia - full of beautiful people and beautiful riding Words cannot describe how amazing this trip was. As a Canadian, I was nervous about going given the very underserved reputation Colombia has. Colombia Cycling went above and beyond, including customizing our 5 day gravel trip into two. Right from the beginning every detail was taken care of. Airport pickup, little gifts each day and every need we could think of looked after. The hotels were great, food incredible and our rental bikes were excellent. In particular, our guide Daniel A. was spectacular. He knew every inch of everywhere we went, was so friendly and so welcoming. To anyone considering this trip - do it!!! The riding was incredible, the people even better. I will be back that’s for certain.

Alto del Sifón - The Ultimate Challenge Just got back from my cycling trip in Colombia, and wow, what an experience. One of the biggest highlights was conquering the Alto del Sifón climb — tough, but so worth it. The crew at Colombia Cycling honestly made the trip. Even though we had a group of 22 riders, their staff was more than capable of supporting us. They took care of everything, both on and off the bike, so all we had to do was focus on riding and soaking it all in. Riding through the towns and mountains (i.e. Colombian flats and endless repechos!) of Colombia was something I’ll never forget. Huge thanks to Marcela, Tomás, Diego, Daniel (x2), Juan, and Manuel — they went above and beyond the entire time. If you’re into cycling, especially climbing, I can’t recommend Colombia Cycling enough. Already thinking about when I can go back!

Great experience & people! We rode with Colombia Cycling for five days in early July. The trip was well organized from start to finish and we had a fantastic time exploring Medellin and the surrounding areas. Tomas, Marcela, Daniel (our main guide), and the rest of the Colombia Cycling team were absolutely wonderful to work with. They tailored to trip to fit the challenge we were looking for. I would absolutely come back and ride with them again. They went above and beyond to make it a truly special experience! After recently doing a similar organized trip in the US, we found Colombia Cycling to be a far better overall experience. The team was very attentive and the logistics were extremely smooth, which helped us to be able to focus only on the cycling. The routes and stops were well-planned and we were fully supported for the entire ride. The guides were great to work with and shared lots of local knowledge with us along the way. Even the way they helped with recovery between the days was amazing! We booked the pro-team package and would recommend this trip to anyone.

Unique I had a great morning with Manuel. The route was just right with a great mixture of tough ascents and flowing descents with a couple of coffee stops along the way. Amazing and unlike any cycling in Europe.

2 day trip After messaging back and forth I decided on a custom 2 day cycle trip around Retiro, fully arranged. Had a great time, distance and elevation was just right. Nice authentic hotel, and was lucky to see a festival while I was in Retiro.

Magical Biking Antioquia Around the Colonial Villages with Colombia Cycling was, for me, a magical experience. Super fun. It was a cultural immersion as well as a gravel and road cycling challenge. I loved getting to know the people, the food and drink, the music, the pueblos, the culture, and practicing my Spanish. The weather was amazing, blue skies, puffy clouds, cool breezes, mountain forests, a thousand shades of green, flowers everywhere. A treat for the senses. Juan, our guide, was a sure and steady companion, friendly and attentive to both our safety and joy. And Rey and Diego in the support vehicle were cheerful and helpful. Tomás and Marcela put so much thought and care into every detail of the trip, supporting local hotels, restaurants, cafes, farmers. The riding itself was as challenging as we wanted to make it. Very! I bike for transportation in NYC, and am relatively new to road cycling, although in the past couple of years I have been road cycling (with some gravel riding) in Spain, Portugal, and the US, and riding with Colombia Cycling is the best ever.

Colombia Cycling - I want to go back! Colombia Cycling and biking in Colombia exceeded all of our expectations. From airport pick-up to drop off at our hotel on the last evening, we felt incredibly cared for - the kind of hospitality that you don't fully realize you are receiving until you are out traveling on your own after. In the months leading up to the trip, Thomas was gracious in answering all of our questions and requests for recommendations. During the ride, Marcela handled the logistics behind the scenes seamlessly, addressed our requests, and I suspect was the source behind additional lovely details such as thoughtful nightly gifts on our pillows. The bikes were excellent. The routes were phenomenal - big climbs, big descents, remote scenic roads, small communities, delicious coffee and snack stops, and continuous insights into Colombian cycling culture. Most memorable, however, were the guides. Danny, Diego, and Juan were gracious, accommodating, and fun cheerleaders and leads. With the treatment provided by Colombia Cycling and the incredible places to ride, we are already dreaming of our next trip.

Colombia Cycling Signature Tour I have been lucky to visit Colombia before but I really wanted to ride my bike there, so looked for a company that could help me. From the first contact with Colombia Cycling it was clear they were a company that could deliver on my dream trip. Colombia Cycling made it easy and painless to plan, all I needed to do was align my flights and they took care of the transport from the airport for myself and my bike. We had a welcome briefing on the first day to cover the logistics, the routes and just to get to know each other. The rides started on the second day and it was all that I dreamed for; the roads in Colombia are generally well maintained, the drivers are courteous. Colombia Cycling had super experienced tour guides riding with us, guiding us and providing useful knowledge on the area and the fauna. There was also a car following us in the event of any emergency and just to provide hydration and snacks. The routes have clearly been developed based on local knowledges, providing a great way to experience Colombia and the coffee region of Antioquia. The climbs can be challenging but you shouldn't be afraid, many in our group set personal records for elevation gains, they all finished super happy with the experience. The views and small towns you pass thru really allow you to experience Colombia, the people and its culture, all by bike! The accommodation is well thought out and the excellent meals are included with refreshments and snacks during the ride. Other than some souvenirs and the odd alcoholic beverage I really didn't need to spend anything above what the tour provided. The guides were great, happy to help and loved to share Colombia with us. We had two experienced mechanics one on the bike and another on the car with meant any minor issues were resolved quickly. (Punctures etc) Thomas and Marcela were always reachable to answer any questions and to organize laundry or massages thru the trip duration. In summary; I would highly recommend Colombian Cycling, it's a Colombian company operated and staffed to deliver on your dreams. The welcome and experience I got out of this trip was second to non. I plan to go back to experience more tours with them!

Itinerario
