The $500 USD deposit is non-refundable for any reason; however, we understand that life is full of unexpected situations. If you are unable to join our tour, we offer you some options: transfer, rescheduling or cancellation for any payments you have made for your trip.
Transfer: In case you are unable to join the tour, inform us at least two weeks in advance and transfer the plan to a friend. The transfer fee is $50 USD. All payments, excluding the deposit, will be transferred to your friend.
Rescheduling: If there is hope that you can attend one of our tours at another time, you have one year to return. All your payments (excluding the $500 deposit) will be credited to your next trip. To reschedule your spot, you must inform us at least three weeks before the scheduled tour.
Cancellation: Notify us at least four weeks before the scheduled tour, and we will refund you 80% of your payments. Remember that the deposit is non-refundable.
Bicycle: If you want to avoid the hassle of bringing your own bike, don’t worry! We have handmade, lightweight steel bikes available for rent so you can have an authentic Colombian experience on two wheels. Additionally, we offer e-bikes because we know the mountains of Antioquia can be challenging and with these bikes, the challenge is up to you. Although we know you’ll take good care of it, please note that any damages or replacement parts needed will be the responsibility of the cyclist. Rental price: $55 USD/day or $280 USD/week.
Masseuse: Our mountains, weather, and tours can be tough on your body. Treat yourself to a specialized recovery massage. Price: $50 USD.
Early arrivals + late departures: We offer the option to book one day before and one day after the plan you have chosen to make your trip more comfortable and stress-free. For this, you will incur an extra cost of $55 USD, which covers transportation to and from the airport. Accommodation and food for the extra nights are not included.
Colombia Cycling Uniform: Special edition Colombia Cycling bib shorts for $90 USD and jersey for $60 USD. Includes chamois and shirt.
Mechanical labor: In case of mechanical failures on your own or rented bike that require replacement parts, the cost for those replacements will be the responsibility of the cyclist. Colombia Cycling provides specialized mechanic labor to perform the service.
Colombia Cycling Bag: Soft bag designed for your cycling accessories. Your helmet, shoes, clean and dirty clothes, electronic accessories, and nutritional snacks all have their special space. Price: $60 USD.
Travel Advisor: When you start researching Colombia, you’ll quickly discover our natural and cultural richness and biodiversity. If you want to add a few extra days of beach, a tour through the desert, a visit to heritage towns, or cultural experiences to your bike tour, don’t hesitate to consult with us. Welcome to the e-commerce website www.colombiacycling.com, (hereinafter “The Site” or “colombiacycling.com”), owned by COLOMBIA CYCLING, a legally established commercial company under Colombian laws and identified by NIT. 900.764.671-5, hereinafter “Colombia Cycling”, whose main activity is the operation of tourist bike trips around Colombia for foreign cyclists, hereinafter “User(s)” or “Client(s)”.
Those Users who decide to access the Site from other countries will do so under their own initiative and it is their responsibility to comply with the applicable laws; in any case, any claim related to the use of the Site and its content will be governed by Colombian laws.
User registration information, and all information provided by users on the Site, will be collected, stored, and used by Colombia Cycling as the responsible and/or processor of personal data in accordance with Colombia Cycling’s Personal Data Processing Policy, available at http://www.colombiacycling.com.
COLOMBIA CYCLING undertakes to promote information security mechanisms that do not affect the operation of the service, carrying out technical measures aimed at preventing misuse, alteration, unauthorized access or illegal conduct through the Site. However, COLOMBIA CYCLING is not responsible for illegal interceptions or external violations of its computer systems or databases by unauthorized persons, nor for the improper use of information obtained by these means that exceed its security standards, such as cyber-attacks, viruses, hacker behavior, and in general, any obtaining of information by third parties illegally.
By using this Site, Users commit to provide correct and truthful information which COLOMBIA CYCLING may examine and verify at any time. In case of any inconsistency in the information provided by the User, COLOMBIA CYCLING may proceed with the cancellation of the order and/or the User’s account and report any suspicious activity to the respective control authorities. At the time of acquiring any service through the Site, the User must provide all necessary and required information by COLOMBIA CYCLING to process the request, quote, payment, and provision of the service, which may include personal, financial, and credit or debit card information.
When Users request a quote or submit an order and make a purchase, they accept the Personal Data Treatment Policy, and Colombia Cycling will understand that by using the Site, Users are aware, understand, and accept the terms of the Policy. Therefore, if they do not agree with them, they should refrain from using the Site.
The User’s access and use of the Site must be for exclusively commercial or informational purposes and thus is obligated to: (a) Use the Site only to make valid and legal queries or orders that are not fraudulent in any way; (b) Provide truthful and accurate contact information and personal data; (c) Not modify or alter in any way the content or information contained on the Site; (d) Not publish, distribute, prepare works, or use the content in any way that is not expressly permitted in this document or that may cause harm to COLOMBIA CYCLING; (e) Not use under any circumstance, trademarks, logos, or other information (including images, texts, page designs, or forms) of the Site without the express written consent of COLOMBIA CYCLING.
Additionally, the parties mutually agree and understand that the intellectual property rights of the Site are the exclusive property of COLOMBIA CYCLING and therefore the User does not acquire any ownership rights over the content of the Site, thus the disclosure, reproduction, distribution of any type of information and content of the Site is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from COLOMBIA CYCLING.
COLOMBIA CYCLING displays images of the services it offers with real photos of customers who have experienced our tourism trips. However, the experience depends on the tour designed for each customer and the partners we use for each trip. Therefore, COLOMBIA CYCLING does not guarantee that hotels, restaurants, or tours will be accurate or exact. Nevertheless, the description of them will be binding for COLOMBIA CYCLING since it constitutes the objective and specific characteristics of the service. Therefore, COLOMBIA CYCLING shall be liable to the User for differences and inconsistencies between the purchased service and the description contained on the Site, not the images.
The User’s consent is considered given throughout the entire purchase process, however, before the final confirmation of purchase and payment, COLOMBIA CYCLING will provide additional information about the service to provide User with security about their purchase. If the order is accepted by COLOMBIA CYCLING, it will issue an acknowledgment of receipt of the same to the email address provided by the user, with information related to the travel proposal, exact price, specifying what is included, what is not included, and the payment method.
COLOMBIA CYCLING reserves the right to perform subsequent verifications to all transactions carried out by the User and, if deemed necessary, reject the purchase made by the User, either in whole or in part. In such events, COLOMBIA CYCLING also reserves the right to request documentation or evidence that proves the legality of the transaction and the identity of the User.
